Happy Labor Day to those who celebrate it today!
I remember times when occasions like this (long weekends, extra days off) were only distractions - from growth, career goals, and work objectives.
Today I know this short pause is priceless.
It's time to stop, recharge batteries and reflect on what's behind us.
It's easy to forget the past and keep moving on.
So today, I pause and celebrate - my wins and big moves.
- One of my multi-quarter projects is coming to its end
- I've been kickstarting another one, which will last months and extend to years
- I run my first half-marathon on a trail terrain
- I was interviewed on the podcast for the first time in my life
Each of those is fuel for me to move on.
But before I jump into this train, I take a short break. 💆♂️
Lovely time with my family 👨👩👧
Recovery runs and mountain trips 🏃♂️⛰️
Mind reset with David Eagelman's "Sum" 📖
One of the quotes from the book:
"And in this form, they find themselves longing to ascend mountains, wander the seas, and conquer the air, seeking to recapture the limitlessness they once knew"
